Our approach to architecture is rooted in sustainability, innovation, and respect for the existing environment. Rather than demolishing and rebuilding, we see value in transforming what is already there. This building is a perfect example of how the past can be integrated into the future, creating a space that is both functional and rich in history.
By carefully removing sections of the first and second floors, we opened up the structure to bring in light, air, and greenery, turning rigid architecture into a more organic and fluid experience. Instead of discarding the removed materials, we repurposed them to build essential spaces like the kitchen and the animal area, minimizing waste and preserving the building’s original character in a new form.
One of the most innovative aspects of our design is the way we worked with the building’s symmetry. By deconstructing, rotating, and reassembling key elements, we uncovered hidden patterns and played with perspectives, creating an entirely new spatial experience while keeping the essence of the old structure intact.
This approach is not just about aesthetics; it’s about sustainability at its core. Reusing materials reduces the environmental impact of new construction, and integrating nature into the design improves well-being for those who use the space. Through this process, we have created an environment that is adaptable, inclusive, and forward-thinking, proving that innovation is not just about building new, but about rethinking the way we build.
Designed by Future Arche for the leading insurance provider Vitalix, this groundbreaking facility redefines accessibility, mobility, and community living. The open and inviting structure seamlessly integrates nature, technology, and human-centered design to create an environment where independence and inclusion flourish.
At the heart of the building is a unique transport capsule system that replaces traditional elevators. These AI-driven capsules move effortlessly along an external framework, allowing residents to access any part of the facility with ease. Whether gliding between floors or transforming into a wheelchair for extended mobility, the capsules ensure a seamless and dignified experience for all. Once a journey is complete, the capsules automatically return to the underground storage area, ready for their next use.
The ground floor opens into a vibrant courtyard, offering free access to a lush green space and an interactive animal area. Outdoor sports equipment, gym spaces, and community seating areas foster social interaction and well-being. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy halboffen exercise areas, while the publicly accessible canteen encourages integration between the facility’s residents and the local community.
Above the bustling common areas, urban rooftop greenhouses provide a peaceful retreat, where residents cultivate fresh produce used in the canteen’s meals. This initiative, supported by both residents and neighbors, fosters cooperation and social engagement while promoting sustainable urban farming.
Throughout the facility, AI-generated digital companions are always present—displayed on reflective surfaces such as windows and smart devices. For those who prefer even closer interaction, advanced AR contact lenses provide a seamless visual connection with their personal AI assistant.
More than just a building, this facility is a living, breathing space designed for the future—where accessibility meets innovation, and where technology enhances independence without replacing human connection. Experience the next generation of inclusive architecture.
